This is an acrylic painting I did for a non-school art class. We were instructed to paint something weird or surreal. I decided on this scene. I did want to work on my portrayal of hands (one of my favorites parts of the body to draw).
Other than that, this is the first piece of this type that I've ever done.

Once you taste something wonderous, you crave it, you hunger for it. You NEED it. That is why I write, to fill the empty space within me. It is the same for artists, painters, and for anyone who loves what they are doing.
Yeah, but fiction things are really freaking awesome too!lol

Yeah. I don't draw, but most of my work in the future (when I become an adult) will be based on fiction. Unless I do something other that writing, I REFUSE to write things that are non-fiction, UNLESS I have all of the details and it's a really interesting story.

I love fiction; fantasy and science fiction specifically. I read nonfiction as well; history and science. I absolutely love to read but, ironically, not to write. I'm decent at it, I just don't enjoy it for some reason.
I cannot read non-fiction, at all. I eventually get bored (after the first page of so), but it depends on the type of history or science. It needs to be written well (and I am pretty picky when it comes to good writing). But I like reading about wars (I'm not THAT violent), but I don't enjoy reading about Earth science, or animal science.

Ah, see I like earth science. I tend to lean more toward biology, evolution, and astronomy. Some good science writers are Stephen Jay Gould, Richard Dawkins, Jared Diamond. I do like reading about war as well; WWII (the Pacific Theater specifically) is my favorite.
That stuff bores me half to death. I LOVE things that can't actually happen like magic, Elves, or a different world altogether.

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
