The Laocoon Group

The marble statue "Laocoon and his sons". Three sculptors from the island of Rhodes are credited with its construction: Agesander, Athenodoros, and Polydorus. Laocoon attempted to warn the Trojans about the Trojan Horse and the gods Apollo and Poseidon sent snakes to devour him and his sons as punishment.

I was only able to fit Laocoon and one of his sons in the picture. I've always liked the stark emotion that the sculpture presented. It currently rests in the Vatican Museum on display.
