It's playoffs time (NHL-style)! I decided to draw a piece that was in line with my current favorite thing to watch on TV. Sadly, my Rangers are out but there is still some very awesome playoff action going on.
The guy flying through the air is Valtteri Filppula of the Detroit Red Wings. This was game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals last year where he scored this amazing goal while practically somersaulting in midair. The Pittsburgh Penguin's goaltender, Marc-Andre Fleury, was not having a good night as Filppula's goal put Detroit up 3-0 in the game (the final score) and 2-0 in the series. The Wings would wind up winning 4-2 and getting the Cup AGAIN. Standard art paper with graphite pencil. |
